OpTic Gaming created the telephone now to sub in the majority of its own Academy roster to replace the starters to get the week's LCS matches, according to the group's statement on Twitter.
In OpTic's statement, the group stated they were"using their 10-man roster" instead of mentioning any kind of problems with all the starters or other things. The tweet also disclosed that not all the Academy group will be playing, just the majority of them. Beginning mid laner and former world champion Lee"Crown" Min-ho will still be playing, but each other starter continues to be replaced this weekend from the Academy players. Again, OpTic did not supply any information whatsoever about the shift on Twitter using the statement. It is likely there might have been some type of difficulty with the beginning roll, however it's also likely this was the strategy all together, and there is some kind of unexpected and strange approach at play . A number of the starting players, such as William"Meteos" Hartman and Noh"Arrow" Dong-hyeon chimed to the dialogue, but they did not supply anymore context. Arrow really played at the Academy this week, together with OpTic mentioning visa problems at a since-deleted tweet for Arrow's absence from the home stage. That having been said, it is not a surprise he's staying on the seat, irrespective of some tweets being deleted for whatever reason. The rest however, being Meteos, Niship"Dhokla" Doshi, and Terry"BIG" Chuong, are very much a surprise. Thus far, this is the most significant substitution transfer of almost any LCS team from the 2019 season. The season starts tonight at 4pm CT using a game between Team Liquid and Cloud9. OpTic play CLG in 6pm CT..
