1 Big theme for its first week of this League of Legends Championship Series in North America is"brand new rosters." Today's match between TSM and 100 Thieves, for example, place a total of five players around both teams on screen --and it was a straight up battle to determine which players can outperform who.
Fortunately for TSM, their novices came prepared, as fresh top laner Sergen"Broken Blade" Çelik, fresh jungler Matthew"Akaadian" Higginbotham, and fresh service Andy"Smoothie" Ta stepped up to the plate and steamrolled their own 100T counterparts. Even 100T's brand new bot lane combo of prior SK Telecom T1 ADC Bae"Bang" Jun-sik and Zaqueri"Aphromoo" Black could not prevent them as TSM's bot laner Jesper"Zven" Svenningsen virtually secured a perfect album, walking right into 100T's base using a 7-0 scoreline in the conclusion of the match. Obviously, it was appropriate in the conclusion that Aphromoo landed a strong Thresh hook to finish Zven's perfect album, but TSM nevertheless cleaned up the last struggle, Zven or not, and finished the match. The significance of landing an early win this season can not be understated, because TSM's problems from the 2018 season began if they lost game after game at the start of the Spring Split. With an opening win against a roster which was praised among the very best in the league, their sin could stand somewhat higher heading to the split. While this had been considered a substantial upset by the majority of analysts, including us, the first match of the afternoon involving Cloud9 and Team Liquid went as expected as Liquid took the win. Now, we are on the next game of the day. Next time TSM play, though, will be tomorrow when they take on Clutch Gambling at 5pm CT..
